FACTORS ASSESSMENT ON RISK MANAGEMENT IN THE LANDSLIDE PROJECT: CASE STUDY IN CAI LAY, TIEN GIANG PROVINCE, VIETNAM

The study aims to investigate the influenced drivers of risk management in landslide remediation projects in Cai Lay district, Tien Giang province. Interview data was collected by convenience sampling from 128 people working in investors/project management boards, specialized agencies or related construction companies. The methods applied by the author in the research include: Descriptive Statistics, Cronbach’s Alpha, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and factor score matrix analysis to determine 04 influencing factors. The factors include: (1) Risks of competence (C), (2) Risks of coordination among stakeholders (CAS), (3) Risks of construction progress (CP) and (4) Risks of design & work quality (DAQ). These four factors illustrate 72.280% of the influencing factors’ variation in the research model. From the research findings, the study proposes a number of feasible solutions to effective risk management for landslide remediation projects in Cai Lay district, Tien Giang province.
