Development of an Educational Play Activities Book to Enhance Fine Motor Skills in Children Aged 4–5 Years

The purpose of this project is to create an Activities Book, an educational game tool, to help kids between the ages of four and five with their fine motor abilities. The method used is using the ADDIE development approach (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) for research and development (R&D). However, because of time and resource constraints, the research was limited to three stages: analysis, design, and development. Development was conducted through literature study, expert validation, and product revision. Data was collected through questionnaires from media experts, linguists, and early childhood experts. As a result, the Activities Book product is considered very feasible. In the first validation by media experts, the product received an average rating of 3.87 (96.87% feasible). After revision, in the second validation, the assessment increased to an average of 3.93 (98.43% feasible). Validation by linguists and early childhood experts also showed a significant increase in the feasibility of the product, which received the “Very Feasible” category. Overall, the validation results confirmed that Activities Book has great potential to improve the fine motor skills of children aged 4-5 years.
