LOISIRS NUMERIQUES ET RENDEMENTS SCOLAIRES DES ELEVES DU LYCEE MUNICIPAL D’ABOBO (ABIDJAN – COTE D’IVOIRE)
The misuse of digital leisure by students is a recurring problem in Côte d’Ivoire. This study aims to analyze in this regard, the impact of digital leisure on the academic performance of students of the municipal high school of Abobo. The study favoured a quantitative approach. Questionnaires were administered to students and staff of the Abobo Municipal High School (Ly.Mu.A). In short, it emerges from a dialectical angle that the use of digital technology wisely contributes to the improvement of the learning conditions of the students of the municipal high school of Abobo (Ly.Mu. A). Paradoxically, dependence, have perverse effects on their academic performance. It is therefore up to parents, who are primarily responsible for children’s education, to supervise their learners in order to curb the harm of using these tools on their academic performance.
