THE EFFECT OF SUPPORTIVE STUDY CLIMATE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL ON ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE WITH ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENT AS A MEDIATING VARIABLE
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of supportive study climate and psychology capital on academic performance with academic engagement as a mediating variable in Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta students of class 2021. In this study, the number of samples used was 170 samples, and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire in the form of Google Forms. The analysis method used in this study was SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), assisted by Smart-PLS software version 3.0. The results of this study indicate that a supportive study climate has a significant positive effect on academic engagement. Psychological capital has a significant positive effect on academic engagement. A supportive study climate has a significant positive effect on academic performance. Psychological capital has a significant positive effect on academic performance. Academic engagement has a significant positive effect on academic performance. Academic engagement can mediate the relationship between a supportive study climate and academic performance. Academic engagement can mediate the relationship between psychological capital and academic performance.
