THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL TOOLS ON SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SMEs) PERFORMANCE: A COMPREHENSIVE SECONDARY DATA ANALYSIS
This study provides a systematic examination of how digital tools influence the performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through an extensive analysis of existing research and industry reports. Drawing on secondary data from authoritative sources including the World Bank, OECD, McKinsey, and peer-reviewed academic journals, the paper presents a holistic view of digital transformation in the SME sector. The analysis reveals that digital adoption leads to measurable improvements in operational efficiency, market reach, and financial performance. However, significant barriers persist, including financial constraints, skills shortages, and cybersecurity vulnerabilities. The study concludes with evidence-based policy recommendations to facilitate SME digital transformation. By synthesizing findings from multiple reputable sources, this research offers valuable insights for policymakers, business support organizations, and SME owners navigating the digital landscape.
