LES STRATEGIES INTERNATIONALES DE REGLEMENT DES CONFLITS : CAS DES MODES DIPLOMATIQUES

There are two ways to resolve a conflict: armed force “violence” and the peaceful way which is the diplomacy. When there is a dispute between two parties or States, the important thing to remember is that, regardless of the strength of one State in relation to the other in dispute, both countries during the crisis will have loss of human life and material destruction. But to remedy this situation, both parties are advised to opt for diplomacy to resolve the conflict. For this reason, there are several diplomatic methods: firstly, direct or bilateral negotiation. This is less costly and less time-consuming, secondly, there are conciliation and mediation which is a negotiation consisting of two parties in conflict and mediator. It preserves business relationships and it is confidential. Thirdly, it is the international arbitration of I.C.J. which is a jurisdictional regulation of the U.N. (United Nations Organization)  It has final and binding decision without appeal.
